I have installed STM32CubeProgrammer V2.2.1 (https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubeprog.html) on my MacBook without problems. When I try to run the application, the programmer icon appears in the dock for about half a second and disappears immediately. So I tried to open the application via terminal:Last login: Fri Dec 6 15:40:05 on ttys000 ➜ ~ /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/bin/java -version java version "1.8.0_221" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_221-b11) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.221-b11, mixed mode) ➜ ~ java -version java version "13.0.1" 2019-10-15 Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 13.0.1+9) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 13.0.1+9, mixed mode, sharing) ➜ ~ sudo open /Applications/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/STM32CubeProgrammer/STM32CubeProgrammer.app Password: LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed with error -10810 for the file /Applications/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/STM32CubeProgrammer/STM32CubePr

We replaced in our product the STM32F102 MCU with STM32F103 without PCB modification. The 103 contains more RAM and can run at higher frequency and we would like to use the extra resources but there is a criteria. We should use one piece of software for both MCU. If the software can detect the MCU type, based on this information for example can set up higher CPU frequency, use extra timer etc.According to the documentation the DBGMCU_IDCODE and DBGMCU_CR registers are not accessable (only in debug mode) for the user software. Is there a safe way for the software to detect which is the MCU where the software runs?

Is there a recommended bypass capacitor for the STM32F205VET6?If anyone knows, please let me know the capacitance.

According to BLUETOOTH CORE SPECIFICATION Version 5.3 | Vol 6, Part F, there are two methods of supporting DTM: DTM over HCI and DTM trough 2-wire UART. I know that WB55 supports DTM over HCI for sure, but what about DTM over 2-wire UART? It's also supported by this microcontrollers?

I am getting CUBEPROGRAMMER_ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED (-5) when I try to connect to a device using connectDfuBootloader from STM32CubeProgrammer API v2.7.0. I am logging all the messages I am seeing and I have attached the log to this question. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or not doing. The C++ example seems to work fine. I am trying to write a C# application.

Hi all,I would like to develop some HW and FW to control DC and Stepper motor using stm32G0 or G4 family. The goal is to control low voltage (5 to 12V and <1A) DC and Stepper motor.I have seen that here Motor Control Solution Eval Boards - STMicroelectronics there are lots of board to drive these kind of motors. But where can I find FW libraries to control DC (encoder readings, position PID control loop..) and STEPPER motor ?Yours sincerely

I've recently updated with no major issue my TouchGFX project from 4.18.1 to 4.20.0.The screen behaves like before with one major exception: all the slide transitions have become way slower and laggy now with the new version. When previously with 4.18.1 moving between 2 views with a lot of widgets took something like 1 second in 20 frames (which is fine in this application), it now takes randomly from 3 to 5 seconds in 2-3 frames.I don't know why those transitions appear to be way slower now since every other animation in the project (including gifs and scroll list) appear unchanged.I've look through all that has been modified in the project after the update and I cannot find something that would explained the laggy transitions. What could explain this and what should I do to at least get the animation speed of the previous version ?

Hello,I try to get a feeling for the possible features and use cases of the ST25R3916 NFC Reader chip. One point which sounds very interresting is the capacitive measurement. Are there any code examples (as the linux driver for the ST25R3916) available or can someone share the basic commands to test the feature (NFC read/write is already working).Best regards,Sebastian

I have been trying to compile the example program "6-Steps speed regulation using the STEVAL-SPIN3204 inverter board" from Motor control workbench.I have made no changes to the example and following instructions from the text file as it is:The project is generated successfully:Then I make a new project in STM IDE with the ioc file as follows:When I try to build the project, I get the following errors: Can somebody please help, where am I making a mistake?P.S. This is my first time using STM.

I'm working on a project involving a 5V servo motor with a 3V3 MCU, and I wanted to get some advice on how best to translate the PWM output from the 3V3 MCU to the 5V servo motor. I made the mistake of initially just using a MOSFET that was controlled by the PWM signal, and while the code seems to work, the signal obviously is all wonky.Right now, the main option I'm considering is a level shifter like an NVT2010,118 (probably something with fewer channels), since I need to level shift some I2C lines anyway, but I wanted to get a second or third opinion on that, and maybe other options I could consideredit: it occurs to me I should have asked this elsewhere. Apologies for the mistake

https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/meta-st-stm32mp/blob/kirkstone/classes/fip-utils-stm32mp.bbclassFIP_SIGN_KEY is used to specify the rot key.But if that key is not found (wrong path for example),the bbclass and cert_create silently creates a new rot key, which obviously doesn't match whatever you were using. This is a bit annoying. If a key is specified, there is no use in believing thatthe user wants a generated rot key... If rot keys are not stored and presented during build, and for whatever reason export of keys failed or path seems wrong, this will go undetected.Your build will succeed, but won't start. What's worse is that you'll be stuck without a functioning fip...

I am trying to transmit (65535 bytes) 3 buffers through UART I just want to transmit all of them. the main buffer is separated into 3 DATA buffers when I tried to transmit all of them I will be able transmit only DATA1.**/* USER CODE BEGIN PD */ #define MAX_FRAME_SIZE 196605 #define FRAME 65535 /* USER CODE END PD */ /* USER CODE BEGIN PV */ static uint8_t aFull_Buffer[MAX_FRAME_SIZE]; static uint8_t DATA1[FRAME]; static uint8_t DATA2[FRAME]; static uint8_t DATA3[FRAME]; /* USER CODE END PV */ /* Private function prototypes -----------------------------------------------*/ void SystemClock_Config(void); static void MX_GPIO_Init(void); static void MX_DMA_Init(void); static void MX_TIM1_Init(void); static void MX_USB_OTG_FS_PCD_Init(void); static void MX_USART3_UART_Init(void); static void MX_TIM2_Init(void); static void MX_USART2_UART_Init(void); /* USER CODE BEGIN PFP */ static void TransferComplete(DMA_HandleTypeDef *hdma_tim1_ch1); int main(void) { HAL_DMA_Start_IT(htim1.hdma[TIM_DMA

I have set up some TEXTS (On Off). I noticed that there are 2 alignment settings here (see #2 and #3) in the imageWhat does the 2 alignment setting do?Then there is the alignment for the actual widget (#1)Which alignment wins as far as the text being displayed?

I have start with TouchGFX, select the demo board and generate the code. Simulator and download works. But now, when I want open the project with CubeIDE, the first is, the project is completly empty. Then when I start a new project with the existing IOC file, then CubeIDE generate a seperate folder with other files, but there are not the auto generates files from TouchGFX visible. What is wrong? Please write me step by step how can I start my own project with STM32H7B3I-DK.Thank you very much, Markus.

I am calling setVerbosityLevel of the API with CUBEPROGRAMMER_VER_LEVEL_NONE (0) in the C++ USB Example project supplied but the DLL routines (like connectDfuBootloader) are still outputting messages. Still there any way to stop these messages?

Not sure what I am doing wrong here in my header file. I have a struct pump_info which has some enums as properties. I get a build error on all 3 on the enums in the struct.
