Hello everyone,i am planing to use an STM32 microcontroller in a project and would like to have a debugger on the same board. I then have to use another microcontroller ie. STM32F103CBT6 the same as used on STLINK-V2-1 on Nucleo boards, which will act as the debugger for the actual microcontroller. But this need to be flashed with the right firmaware to do its job.I have searched everywere for an original firmware of STLINK-V2-1 but did not find any. How can i find an official and original Firmware for STLIN-V2-1 debugger?Thanks alot!

Hi,I'm working on the FW for STM32H725VGT6 MCU and something strange is happening.I've created a simple project with cubeIDE (with usart2 and a GPIO to toggle) and the code created and compiled with no issues. After uploading the code with debug mode and running it, everything looks regular and according to the IDE the code is being executed (a test value being increased within the while loop and I can see its value changing in the "watch" window) but actually the MCU is not responding, there's no prints on the UART and the GPIO is not being toggled.I'm writing the MCU with the STLink of STM32H7 nucleo board.I'm not new to STM32 MCUs nor to cudeIDE and I never came across such thing.Also, the boot0 pin is tied to GND.With the nucleo everything was OK and had no issues.I remember that the first time I programmed this specific MCU the STM32CubeProgrammer tool send me a message about the option bytes but I don't remember what this message was. There's a chance this issue related to t

Hello,I'm new to using this ecosystem and I'm having trouble finding resources on how to get my ethernet working so that I can connect to AWS IoT. I'm not really sure what is platform specific or not in some the examples I found so I was wondering if there was a easy place to find this information.

I am a hobbyist that only has basic oscilloscope and function generator that is (according to AN5042) not accurate enough to tune the HSE crystal. Is the HSE crystal in the NUCLEO-WB55RG pre-tuned?

Hello everyone.what the DD-out pint is used for on the TDA7376B?Does it cancel out the channel when it detect clipping on that channel?

Hello. I am working with internal Flash memory on STM32F407, I have 4 functions as described below:void FLASH_save_CP_serial(uint32_t serial_number) {     taskENTER_CRITICAL();     uint32_t write_test = 12345;     FLASH_EraseInitTypeDef EraseInitStruct;   uint32_t page_err;     EraseInitStruct.TypeErase = FLASH_TYPEERASE_SECTORS;   EraseInitStruct.Sector = FLASH_SECTOR_11;   EraseInitStruct.NbSectors = 1;   EraseInitStruct.VoltageRange = FLASH_VOLTAGE_RANGE_3;     HAL_FLASH_Unlock();   FLASH_WaitForLastOperation(2000);   HAL_FLASHEx_Erase(&EraseInitStruct, &page_err);   FLASH_WaitForLastOperation(2000);         if(HAL_FLASH_Program(FLASH_TYPEPROGRAM_WORD, 0x80E0000, write_test) == HAL_OK){   DEBUG_PRINT("write successfull \n");   }   else{   DEBUG_PRINT("failed to write to EEPROM\n");   }   FLASH_WaitForLastOpe

Hello all,I have referred the STM32cubeIDE user manual and found the procedure to add the .o file to the project.I want to call a function from the added .o file.But I get the following error.../Core/Src/main.c:130:3: warning: implicit declaration of function 'add2Num' [-Wimplicit-function-declaration] 130 | add2Num(1,2); How can I solve this issue.

It appears like the board design project files link is not linked to the proper files. When I click it, I get BOM info. I am looking for the Altium project files for the 32F746GDISCOVERY  board.  Can someone please let me know how I can get the Altium files for this board? Thanks,Dan

Hello, I have been trying for 2 days to read my hardware button from the STM32F746G board and change the color on the display. Unfortunately, all tutorials are for older versions where the file ButtonController.hpp still exists, but in TouchGFX 4.21.1 this file is not generated. The button is set up as BTN_USER with a pull-down in Cube MX. In the .touchgfx file, I have added"PhysicalButtons": [ { "Key": 1, "Name": "BTN_USER" } ], I also cannot manually call Screen1ViewBase::handleKeyEvent(uint8_t key) because I always get include errors. It can't be that difficult to read a physical button. Screen1ViewBase.cpp: void Screen1ViewBase::handleKeyEvent(uint8_t key){if(1 == key) { //Interaction1 //When hardware button 1 clicked change color of box1 //Set RGB color R:255, G:0, B:0 on box1 box1.setColor(touchgfx::Color::getColorFromRGB(255, 0, 0)); box1.invalidate();

STM32F070RB stepping Y, with a 24MHz crystal as HSE. No LSE.In the Cube, enabled PLL sourced from the HSE; SYSCLK goes to 48 MHz.Then, as soon as I run thru HAL_RCC_OscConfig, debugger loses connection and I don't know what the chip does.So I've switched the sysclk mux to HSE without PLL (24 Mhz), and then whole SystemClock_Config() passes well and everything looks good.So I thought, 48 MHz is too much for this board. Enabled PLL again, with pre-div 1/2, to get the same 24 MHz. It fails again.What can be the problem with the PLL? The board runs well at 24 MHz from the HSE, so the oscillator is good?

I am trying to use I2C4 Pins PD12 (SCL/D15) and PD13 (SDA/D14) but cannot get it to work. I used CubeMX to generate my project. Also, I am using the Cortex M7 for the I2C4 connections. Please tell me how I can get I2C4 to work with the  STM32H745 Discovery Kit

Hi, I am working with STM32F407VETx and it has total 192kb RAM, but its split into 3 regions:#define SRAM1_BASE 0x20000000UL // SRAM1(112 KB) #define SRAM2_BASE 0x2001C000UL // SRAM2(16 KB) #define CCMDATARAM_BASE 0x10000000UL // CCM(core coupled memory) data RAM(64 KB)   My question how do I use all those 3 regions?I assume 1st region (SRAM1) will be used by default by compiler?Can I simply use 2nd and 3rd regions (SRAM2/CCMDATARAM) by assigning address to variable?static uint8_t *Cache2 = (uint8_t *)0x2001C000; //16kb sector2 static uint8_t *Cache3 = (uint8_t *)0x10000000; //64kb sector3Also how is IRAM2 used by compiler? And why there is no IRAM3?

I saw some tutorials with STM32 IDE 1.11.0, > When typing for the variable or function name, it makes a list and selected if found.and I don't see it doing that; where is the configuration in preference top enable it or was is it from the plugin feature? I have checked the IDE manual and could not find it there.

Hello,We are designing a board with an STM32H7B0VBT6 and USB3320 USB HS-transceiver. The MCU will run at VDD=1.8V. In AN5307, p. 11 it is written:"On some packages neither the VDD33USB pin, nor the VDD50USB pin are available, it is the VDD pin which supplies the VDD33USB through an internal connection. In this case, VDD is constrained by VDD33USB and must range between 3.0 V and 3.6 V."The package that we use does not have these pins. However, I expect that the statement above only applies when using the internal FS transceiver, which we are not: We are using an external HS-transceiver through ULPI.Is it correct to assume then that in our situation we can use VDD=1.8V?

STM32 community,I am the junior graduate electronics engineer who is taking over an important R&D project and need advice on ensuring the functionality of an existing circuit that is crucial for our company. Unfortunately, the lead engineer who developed the firmware for this circuit has departed as part of a dispute, leaving us without access to the source code. We do have access to the electronic design files such as schematics and board layouts.The device is using a STM32F103RCT6 mcu and I was not involved in the original development process, but am now being thrown into the cold here :\We already have other PCBs built but do not have the firmware loaded on these. We have an upcoming opportunity where this piece of equipment will not be in use during production and we would like to seize this opportunity to create a backup copy of the existing firmware in order to ensure we can continue to use and maintain the equipment in the future.I would like to mention that I already have e

As shown in the attached figure, I know that this failure, if for a short time duration, does not propagate to other ports (driver/receivers), which can therefore continue to operate without failing. What I need to know is the voltage level reached on the VCC line of RHFLVDS2281 if the LVDS driver fails due to 5V applied to its output. Shall I see 5V on VCC? This can be a problem for the other parts on the board which are connected to the same Vcc supply (3.3V).

I want to attch stlink to my raspberry pi platform which runs in aarch64 platform, so that I can debug with STM32CubeIDE. But I cannot find suitable stlink-server which can be worked in aarch64. (Only x64 platform are provided.) Could you compile it for that ? Many thanks. :grinning_face:

Hello all. If I create a threadX build for say STM32L496QGI3Will I be able to use the same build in the entire STM32 line? Or just SMT32L's ?At what point do I need to build again?thanks

I can invoke the ROM bootloader on the STM32U575ZI both by pulling PH3 to 3v3 at boot and I can then connect STM32CubeProgrammer using USART1 PA9, PA10 as described in AN2606. However the STM32U5 does not enumerate via the USB-C connector on the Nucleo board.I have verified that VDDUSB is supplied (DVM measures 3v3 on SB30).Does anyone have any ideas why the ROM bootloader will not enumerate with my PC ? Thanks.I should add that the STM32U575 Nucleo enumerates with my PC just fine via the USB-C connector when my application is running on it - so I don't think that there is a fundamental electrical problem.

The STM32H753 has 2 CRCs. One global CRC and one specific for Flash memory.I think it is possible to use the global CRC for flash memory right ? The benefit would be to use a different polynom than the one from Flash CRC.is it possible to have an idea of the performance loss @ 400MHz CPU clock. I know it depends on many factors, I just want to know if it's twice slower, 10 times slower...

Hi, I would like to try nucleo-WL55 in LoRa Node with Quatz and see temperature influence in RF signal.So I have unsolder R2, and solder R39/R40. But now LoRaWAN_AT_Slave does not work anymore, even if I change TCXO to Quartz in .ioc file. I can see AT menu, but ATTONE does not work anymore.What change did we do to be able to use Quartz insted of TCXO? In LoRaWAN_AT_Slave MSI RC is configure. Why when I try to use HSE PRES /4 X12 /2 (48Mhz) I can't be able to see UART ? (AT menu)

I use Modbus RTU 8N1 with 9600 bd. I always have sent the same 8 byte request. The first byte of the message is 0x01.In about 85% of all tests the STM32 evaluates the request correctly. In a 15% of all tests the first byte is evaluated as 0x80 or 0x81. The other 7 bytes are always correct.I see the wrong byte in the LPART Rx register as soon as the LPUART interrupt comes.I checked the message at the RX input of the MCU with the oscilloscope: Everything is fine: timing, bit lenght, byte lengtht, start bit, stop bit, every single bit of the message is correct. Even if the MCU evaluates the first byte wrong. I gave the LPUART a little time break after wake up from stop 2 mode. That did not help. I checked the baudrate in the register. It´s fine. I tried a lot of other things that didn´t helped.Do you have an solution idea?
