Hello,I have an ultra low power application and must share SRAM2a with BLE. For power reasons, RAM1, and SRAM2b cannot be used. The CubeProgrammer refuses to re-program SBRSA to anything but 0xA.More details:I am using Full BLE wireless stack: 'stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin'. SBRSA is programmed to 0xA, which matches the 10K provided to RAM_SHARED from the linker file. I believe, that means SRAM2a is completely occupied by RAM_SHARED (10 KB) plus the Secure section (22 KB).I would like to shrink RAM_SHARED based on the map file, and push SBRSA up to make room for my application's data. I need about 10 KB, but it will be nice to get more.I basically have three issues:1) What is the procedure/tool to reprogram SBRSA as CubeProgrammer refuses to program anything but 0xA.2) How much actual memory Full BLE Stack take from the Secure section. All 22KB?3) Is there anything in RAM_SHARED that is not specified by the map file?Thank you in advance.

Hello,I'm design a new product based on STM32 and I'd like to use a H7 family. The main problem is that there is no stock on the market. I'd like to know is there is any possibility that H7 or even F7 will return on stock with a normal price on the 2023 (at the moment I can find just few F7 but the price is higher than normal), or if it is better use an F4 microcontroller.Kind regards,Riccardo

Hi!I'm using a x-nucleo-nfc08a1 board on a nucleo-g491re using mbed os, I'm trying to implement support for a tag which requires custom crc and parity on both tx and rx.I'm using the following flags RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_CRC_TX_MANUAL | RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_CRC_RX_KEEP | RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_PAR_RX_KEEP | RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_PAR_TX_NONE | RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_CRC_RX_MANUAL with rfalStartTransceive, tx works fine but rx fails with a crc error (rfalNfcDataExchangeGetStatus() returns RFAL_ERR_CRC.rxRcvdLen gets set to 8192 and rxBuf is filled with 0s.I'm using a proxmark3 to debug the nfc communication and the tag responds fine as expected, but RFAL (or the transceiver itself) drops the packet.

Hi, I am trying to use an external frequency to drive my STM32F303RE, using a nucleo board (NUCLEO-F303RE). There is a lot of confusion going on right now. First of all, I was provided a nucleo board with an external oscillator that was already soldered on there. But to use the oscillator, I DISABLE the HSEBYP bit in my code. The reference manual states for this bit:0: HSE crystal oscillator not bypassed1: HSE crystal oscillator bypassed with external clockI would think I need to set the bit to 1 to see the external oscillator frequency (24 MHz) and not the HSE frequency (8 MHz). But when I set the bit to 1 (RCC->CR |= RCC_CR_HSEBYP;) I see the HSE is not bypassed and the microcontroller uses the provided 8 MHz clock. If I set the bit to 0 (RCC->CR &=~ RCC_CR_HSEBYP; ) is see the 24 MHz user external oscillator as a result.Also I noticed that the bit has no impact on a microcontroller on a nucleo board, where no external oscillator is soldered. According the the Nucleo Datash

I am looking for an interrupt based replacement for HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady. I am implementing a EEPROM library for M24256 I2C Serial EEPROM in a FreeRTOS application.  The call HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady relies on polling for many milliseconds to perform this function. Is there a version written to use interrupts?

Hi. I have some strange error when debugging code at my STM32F103C8T6 BluePill board.When I start debugging, everything seems fine (the debugger connects to the target, erases it, downloads firmware, and verifies it successfully). But instead of jumping to the int main() function body - the debug is in the HardFault handler. Also, my second stm32f103c8t6 board has exactly the same issue. Another strange thing - I have a third stm32f103c8t6 BluePill board that works correctly. Debug starts from int main and everything is fine.Is it a problem with my two boards? Or did I miss something important?I've already fully erased all 3 boards in STM32CubeProg. But nothing changed.

I am using STM32F103C8 Blue Pill Board. I am trying to communicate with ATH20 Temperature & Humidity sensor from past One week. Configured STM32F103 Blue Pill - System Clock As (8mHz * PLL8 )= 64mHz and APB1 as 32mHz.I have Trouble wit START bit, When i try to START I2C and waits for SR1_SB bit it remains LOW.Please check my code here and give me some suggestions to work done...uint32_t read_reg = 0;   void Sys_Clock_Config (void){ RCC->CR |= RCC_CR_HSEON; while (!(RCC->CR & RCC_CR_HSERDY)); RCC->APB1ENR |= RCC_APB1ENR_PWREN; FLASH->ACR |= (1<<1)|(1<<4); RCC->CFGR |= RCC_CFGR_HPRE_DIV1; RCC->CFGR |= RCC_CFGR_PPRE1_DIV2; RCC->CFGR |= RCC_CFGR_PPRE2_DIV1; RCC->CFGR |= ((RCC_CFGR_PLLSRC) | (RCC_CFGR_PLLMULL8)); RCC->CR |= RCC_CR_PLLON;   while (!(RCC->CR & RCC_CR_PLLRDY)); RCC->CFGR |= RCC_CFGR_SW_PLL; while((RCC->CFGR & RCC_CFGR_SWS) != RCC_CFGR_SWS_PLL); } void I2C2_Pin_Config(void){ RCC->APB1

So I have seen several people say they used the Cube IDE to program the RA-08 from AI-Thinker. They say it was super easy and I love CubeIDE. but for the life of me I don't understand how they did it. Please help?

Hi everyone,I'm trying to configure LWIP for a custom board using stm32h730 and ksz8863mll PHY.Unfortunately within CubeMX there is no advanced settings tab in ETH and in LWIP on Platform Settings tab there is nothing but LAN8742 selectable.As far as found in other posts I should be able to select something like userPHY.Am I missing something or is this just another bug in CubeMX?I'm aware I'll probably have to implement some custom code for the ksz8863mll but I would really like to tell CubeMX not to basically revert all my changes whenever I press generate...

I use ADC 12 bit in STM32L03 and cannot find where CubeIDE defines which reference voltage the ADC should have. ADC_Init() is auto-generated. Is it the default used and what voltage is it?The processor is fed with 3.3V and has VDDA connected to that voltage.

We were using TIM16 to count and monitor if a button is pressed for more than 2 seconds. If pressed for more than 2 seconds, an interrupt will be generated and a flag will be set. This was successfully implemented when used as shown below:void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { if (&htim16 == htim) { __HAL_TIM_CLEAR_FLAG(&htim16, TIM_IT_UPDATE); __HAL_TIM_DISABLE_IT(&htim16, TIM_IT_UPDATE); if (device_C.is_in_use == NO) { device_C.is_in_use = YES; device_C.in_use_state = DEV_INIT; } }}After incorporating some other changes, now the timer stops generating intterupts(it seems as if the counter does not overflow). The followings were the changes being made. Are the above changes having any significant effect?Also i have tried to enable the IRQ forcefully by using HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(TIM16_IRQn); in the HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Falling_Callback() and vice versa (HAL_NVIC_DisableIRQ(TIM16_IRQn); in the HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Rising_Callback()).I noticed that it ent

I have a situation where I use all I/O on an STM32L476RG. One of the units only sends UART data, so I want to configure the LPUART for Rx Only to keep the Tx pin free as GPO.Cube has "Advanced Setting"; I've selected "Receive Only". But unless I enable the transmitter pin, Cube reports an error and refuses to generate code -> so it seems Cube ignores my Advanced Settling? How to get this fixed?STM32CubeIDEVersion: 1.11.2Build: 14494_20230119_0724 (UTC)FW Package = STM32CubeFW_L4_V1.17.2

Hello, I'm using stm32h750b-dk and I created an user interface with TouchGFX. This UI gets some user inputs and evaluting some results with that inputs. Here is my question is how can I save this user inputs and some config variables to qspi flash memory ?, and is the auto-generated touchgfx stm32 project already creates the qspi interface and driver? This variables must be non-volatile if there is another method to do that I can go with that, I'm very open the suggestions.Thanks

Posted on July 20, 2017 at 06:03I made a program and it works well without UART2. I just made a simple program but nothing happend on the TX pin of the UART2.while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE *//* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */displayBuffer[0]++; updateLcd();HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, &displayBuffer[0], 1, 0xFFFF);tmp++;HAL_Delay(1000); }'updateLcd()' function is using I2C and the clock source is same of UART2, so I think the clock for UART2 works. I2C works well.TX line voltage continues hi, as idle. No data come up.I can see the TDR resistor changes the value each 1 sec, so my data is stored in TDR for sure.I tried to not use HAL_UART_Transmit() function and tried to write the data directly into the TDR like following, the result was same...huart2.Instance->TDR = displayBuffer[0];The periferal clock is 16MHz, and the UART2 setting is following./* USART2 init function */static void MX_USART2_UART_Init(void){huart2.Instance = USART2; huart2.Init.BaudRate = 9600; huart2.Ini

Hi all, i am facing a problem with stm32cubeide. i copied and paste a SDK folder to project folder and it is showing there in project directory in stm32cube ide. (refer 1.png)then i added header files paths through project > properties > c/c++ general > paths and symbols > includes (refer 1.png) i added source files through project > properties > c/c++ general > paths and symbols > source location( (refer 3.p)g)when i build the it gets successful and firmware work as per expectation.now the problem is when press F3 to jump on function definition which is defined in SDK source file , rather than going to function definition *.c cursor jumps to function declaration *.h file.for example i am calling reg_wizchip_cs_cbfunc(cs_sel, cs_desel); function from tcp_handling.c file, when i press F3 here cursor jumps function declration to wizchip_config.h files , ideally it should jump to function definition in wizchip_config.c file. (refer 4.png)if i copy SDK folder to src

I want to send data from one SPI master to an SPI slave in the same MCU. I don't have separated bards for master and slave, they are in the same board. I'm using an STM32H7 MCU with the following configuration:SPI master:SPI slave:With the following pins:MasterMISO: PA6MOSI: PD7SCK: PA5NSS (by SW): PC7SlaveMISO: PB4MOSI: PB5SCK: PB3NSS: PA4I have connected wired the pins as following, by looking at the provided table:In order to have both SPI master and slave in the same board, I have needed to use PD7 for the SPI master, which is described as an USART pin in the following table, but I'm not using the USART so I can use it for SPI. And here is my source code (I will provide only my custom code, not the one generated by CubeMX):int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */   /* USER CODE END 1 */   /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/   /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(
