How to Measure RSSI using "ST25R3916_Discovery_GUI"?

Donatz

Hi...

Good day!

I am evaluating ST25R3916-DISCO board, particularly RSSI related measurements.

The DISCO board itself displays RSSI measurement as show in the image below.

However using the "ST25R3916 Discovery GUI.ver1.2",

although antenna output can be measurement as shown below...

0693W00000FAkd9QAD.jpgI cannot find RSSI measurement.

Q1 - Is RSSI measurement not included in the "ST25R3916 Discovery GUI.ver1.2 PC App?

Q2 - Could someone provide me the source code of the "ST25R3916 Discovery GUI.ver1.2 PC App?

Hoping for someone's support.

Regards,

Hi Donatz,

ad Q1:

APIs to retrieve the RSSI are available - please refer to rfalGetTransceiveRSSI() which you can call after a transceive which has received a single answer to retrieve the signal strength indicator. We experimented also with adding in the GUI to the polling tab but it has a negative impact on the GUI (reactiveness and requires additional commands sent to some of the cards).

ad Q2:

Did you see the available demos which are using the provided DLL to communicate with the board? What do you want to achieve? Unfortunately RSSI is not exported on the DLL interface.
