Overclocking STM32F4

Does anyone have any experience in overclocking an STM32F4 to 240MHz?  Is that an ST recommended configuration?  I've run across a new product being sold that advertises that they are overclocking to 240MHz by recommendation from ST engineers.  Does that sound reasonable?

    Well the ST engineers would presumably understand where the critical paths are, and what their process capabilities are. It wouldn't surprise me that the VCO can clock north of 500 MHz.

    I don't think you are going to get access to that level of engineering support here, you'd have to cultivate a relationship through your sales and FAE contacts.

    I've seen people report 250 MHz operation, 240 MHz at least would provide a clear route to clocking USB at 48 MHz. Parts within the same process offer APB2 clocks up to 100 MHz, APB1 to 50 MHz

    I tried an F446 with reasonable FLASH wait states and APB clocks, and it wasn't working at 240 or 250 MHz, but did work at 200 MHz. I might try to tune it a bit, but knowing what the ''recommended'' settings are would help.

    If overclocking a MC is anything like overclocking a desktop CPU then the input voltage may also have its role: e.g. if 3.0V@240MHz doesn't work 3.6V@240MHz might do the job. Also make sure you are monitoring the core's temperature. Attaching a small
