Hi guys

Is there someone who knows License of ''STMicroelectronics Virtual COM Port''?

Now, I'm developing a device that is included USB CDC function.

It's working pretty well.

In this moment, I want to apply our company's VID & PID to this driver and USB descriptor.

I think it is not hard job.

But I worry about License of ''STMicroelectronics Virtual COM Port''.

Can i use ''STMicroelectronics Virtual COM Port'' windows driver without any license for commercial goods?

If there is something which are license and processing, Please let me know.

'' want to apply our company's VID & PID''

Once you change the VIP & PID - the driver that will be loaded may be different.

It is up to the company developing the device to develop the install package ( the .inf file ).

In any case, my understanding is the the ST VCP driver is just a wrapper for the built in Windows USB CDC default driver. The .inf file just tells Windows to use the default USB CDC device drive for the ST PID
