I am experiencing a problem with RTOS Proxy in STM32CubeIDE 2.0.0/2.1.0 when debugging a ThreadX application on STM32H753 using a SEGGER J-Link.The same setup works correctly with STM32CubeIDE 1.19.0, but after upgrading to 2.0.0/2.1.0 the debugger aborts during the flash download when RTOS Proxy is enabled. Hello, I am using the STM32H503 MCU. When I configure the pins as follows:PB2 → OUTPUTPA8 → TIM1_CH1PB7 → I2C1_SDAIn the RCC section, I get red warnings for Master Clock Output1 (MCO), LSCO clock output, and SAI1 External clock. I cannot disable these clock settings. Is there a way to do this in CubeMX? How can I resolve this conflict in CubeMX?
Hello together,I search for a solution to put calibration data in a NS area. Background Information:we are using STM35H573 with STM secure manager.we use an ethernet Rest API to update Application including request install and so onNow I want to use the same Rest API to update configuration data. The BIN file shall be signed like a normal application. The behavior should be more or less the same: Restart µC, SM checks validity; app will be started,...I have read um3254 but I do not understand the section with large profile.I have read something about ITS, but I think this is not the solution I need. The calibration data must not be stored in the trusted area. They shall only validated bei the SM during update or startup. Thanks for joining this topic. Br Sebastian
Split from USART in Proteus not displaying any characters as this is now a new situation (real hardware; not simulation) Now as per your advise i have moved from simulation to real hardware can you please why under freertos its not working the led is counitnusly onn instead of blinking? Working behavior: LED blinks correctly without FreeRTOS using a simple while loop in the same setup . Flashing and debugging via ST-LINK works without issues. Problem: When FreeRTOS is enabled, the LED stays continuously ON instead of blinking under the same hood . CubeMX configuration: FreeRTOS enabled (CMSIS V2) Default task created USE_NEWLIB_REENTRANT enabled in FreeRTOS advanced settings SYS timebase tested with: SysTick TIM1 GPIO PC13 configured as: Output ( that is fine as it worked without freertos but stays counitnuoly on with freertos ) Code behavior: Using osDelay() inside the task Same toggle logic works outside FreeRTOS but not inside
I am trying to use USART in Proteus, but it is not displaying any characters in the virtual terminal. In fact, nothing is appearing at all. My workflow was: I first generated the .ioc configuration using STM32CubeMX. Then I generated the project and built it in STM32CubeIDE to create the .hex file. I loaded this .hex file into the STM32 in Proteus. For USART communication: I am using USART2. PA2 → TX PA3 → RX I also verified the following: The baud rate is the same in both: STM32CubeIDE code Proteus Virtual Terminal I even simplified the code to just print a simple string using UART, but nothing appears in the Proteus virtual terminal. I followed several tutorials, but I still cannot determine what I might be doing wrong. At the moment, the UART in Proteus is not displaying any characters at all. I would appreciate help identifying what might be causing the USART not to work in Proteus. In this project, I am implementing a Publisher–Subscriber model. However, before pro
Should each vdd pin of the stm32f407zgt6 read continuity like the blue pill on multimeter, are they internally connected within the chip or separated? Similary for all the vss pins are they also all connected vss inside stm32f407zgt6 Thanks
Hello everyone, I am Li Weiwei (李炜炜) from a company based in Shenzhen, China, specializing in integrated circuit testing equipment and related R&D. We are currently working on a small-scale R&D / prototyping project that requires the STM32F103TBU6 (VFQFPN36 package) in bare die or wafer form (Known Good Die / KGD preferred), rather than packaged chips. Has anyone here successfully sourced STM32F103 series (or similar STM32F1xx) as bare die / wafer through ST directly, authorized distributors (e.g., Avnet, WT Microelectronics, WPG Holdings, Excelpoint, etc.), or other specialized bare die suppliers? Key details I'm looking for: Is the bare die / wafer option officially available for STM32F103TBU6? (I couldn't find it listed on the ST eStore, public datasheets, or standard channels.) Typical MOQ (minimum order quantity) — e.g., full wafer, partial wafer, or small engineering samples (our target: equivalent to 1–5 wafers or a small number of dies for initial prototyping)? R
I have question on STM32WBA65RI uC we are using it for our products TEK923/926. I tried doing an OBD2 request via Car's OBD2 port.I am able to see the CAN BUS traffic using an oscilloscope , just my request frames are rejected by car. I am using STM32h735G-DK development board to send OBD2 requests. It consists of an inbuilt FDCAN transceiver. Settings are fine (removed termination resistor as car already has two), baudrate is 500kbps with 87.5% sample point. I am using the following code to send OBD2 request frames:I am able to receive CAN frames and able to log CAN frame frames it is just that frames sent are rejected. What am i doing wrong here?FDCAN Code excerpt: /* ============ 500 kbit/s Bit Timing Derivation ============ * * Step 1: FDCAN Kernel Clock * fCAN = 80 MHz (from Clock Configuration) * * Step 2: Prescaler * Prescaler = 10 * * Step 3: Time Quantum (tq) * tq = Prescaler / fCAN * tq = 10 / 80,000,000 Hz = 0.125 µs = 125 ns * * Step 4: Bit Segments (in TQ) * Sync Segment = 1 TQ (fixed, always 1) * Time Segment 1 = 12 TQ (Prop_
My BLE project on stm32wba65 makes use of "UTIL_TIMER_Create" to set a callback. This works ok when the RTC is configured just as free running binary. If I set the rtc mode to mixed binary & bcd, the callback never gets fired. I'm using an LSE to drive the rtc. Why is this? I'm trying to base a project off the BLE_Heartrate example. I need the calendar time & date so I can timestamp data. I synch the time over the BLE from a PC. I suppose I could just use the ms ticks since boot, but how does this survive a reset (but not power outage)? Is the binary counter derived from the rtc sufficiently large enough to hold a date for a year or more? Any examples using binary RTC and external time synch would be most welcome.
Hi, I am currently working on a project where I want to adjust the duty cycle and trigger an ADC measurement on every counter rollover. I managed to get the PWM running in center-aligned mode, but I’m having trouble triggering the counter rollover at the correct moment. To verify whether the trigger is correct, I routed the output compare signal to an external pin and observed it on an oscilloscope. The basic idea is to run an additional counter alongside the PWM. This counter should count up to ARR and then generate a trigger that starts the ADC conversion. Becuase in the center aligned mode two update event occurs both on CNT=0 and CNT=ARR. On the oscilloscope, it looks like the trigger—presumably when CNT = 0 (at least that’s my assumption)—produces an edge. Im using NUCLEO-G491RE. What could I be missing here? What might be causing this behavior? Yellow (PWM TIM8 Channel3), Blue (PWM TIM8 Channel1), Orange (Capture Compare TIM8 Channel 4) Thank you in advance!
There is something strange happening with STM32N657x0HxQ MCU when HAL tick timer is not using SysTick, but a timer like TIM6, and TIMPRE is changed to 4 or 8 while timer is active. Observed it on DK and custom board.I created isolated test code with CubeMX v6.17.0 for STM32N6570-DK and STM32CubeIDE v2.1.0 to reproduce the issue. IOC file and code in attachment. Test code is in FSBL and it just blinks LED1 with 1 second period. When TIMPRE is 1 or 2, it blinks correctly. To reproduce: Change TIMPRE to 4 or 8 in clock tree and generate + build the code:Power up the board in development mode (BOOT1 = 1). On real application it only happens on cold boot. With this test code it seems to appears all the time.Launch the FSBL with debugger. Debugger should break at HAL_Init(). Press Run. Nothing happens. LED does not blink. Pause debugger and watch uwTick value:CPU is busy in TIM6_IRQHandler and with few seconds, the count has reached 489211. CPU is busy serving only the timer interrupt reques
I am using STM32CubeMX (Version 6.17.0). Here is what happened. I created a PIN name "CLK-A". After some troubleshooting, I found a mistake in my pinout definitions. I named the correct pin as "CLK_A". However, I did not delete the "CLK-A" pin. When the C code was generated for the project, the "CLK-A" pin was defined as "CLK_A" in the output C file. The tool did not flag me that there were two pins with the same effective name. It took me some time to track down the issue. Once I deleted original "CLK-A" pin definition, my design worked. I added "CLK-A" back to the design on another pin". I got "CLK_A<pin name>" in the "header.h" file. The first pin defined seemed to have priority.
Hi everyone,I am experiencing issues with Task Aware Debugging (FreeRTOS Task List) in the latest version of STM32CubeIDE. The "FreeRTOS Task List" view is either empty or not populating correctly, despite the scheduler running and tasks executing effectively on the hardware.Environment:IDE: STM32CubeIDE (Latest Version)MCU: STM32H7S3L8H6xFreeRTOS Version: V10.6.2 (CMSIS-RTOS V2 wrapper)STM32Cube 2.0.0Interestingly enough, the runtimestats itsef are working.Does anyone have similar issues? /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /* * FreeRTOS Kernel V10.6.2 * Portion Copyright (C) 2017 Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. Hi,I added some follow-up questions to a message but I'm not sure if anyone will notice as I had already clicked "Accepted Solution" :-https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-security/stm32h5-simple-security-settings/m-p/885235/thread-id/9530#M9531Copying the questions regarding setting H5 security to be more like G4 RDP setting.1) Since the regression to open performs a full chips erase, am I right in thinking that we can use a common and not secure password? i.e. Revealing the password does not allow access to the firmware.2) Can I perform all of the steps listed, from my bootloader firmware? As far as I can see, the changes to product state just require a write to write to an option byte. I have yet to find the part of the reference manual that describes how to write the password file but looking through the scripts in the git repo mentioned seems to suggest that something is written to "address_password=0x8FFF000". (Just noticed - that address looks like H503 only, and for the H563
Hello,I am using NUCLEO-WB05KN1 development board with the embedded STM32WB05KN MCU.My goal is to advertise in Eddystone UID frame format.Currently I generate the advertising packet manually and insert:10-byte Namespace ID6-byte Instance IDAdvertising works correctly.:question_mark:What I Want To AchieveI want to be able to change:Namespace IDInstance IDremotely from a mobile phone using nRF Connect (by writing to a custom GATT characteristic). This is important because we will deploy many devices in the field and updating IDs over BLE would be very useful.:white_heavy_check_mark:What I ImplementedI created a custom GATT service with two writable characteristics: uint16_t my_service_handle = 0;uint16_t ns_char_handle = 0;uint16_t inst_char_handle = 0;uint8_t Namespace_ID[10];uint8_t Instance_ID[6]; aci_gatt_srv_attribute_modified_event()I handle write events using: aci_gatt_srv_attribute_modified_event() When I receive new data:I u
Hi,I'm working on STM32N6 with CubeMX + X‑CUBE‑AI to deploy a neural network model. The first AI model works fine: no compile errors, runs normally. When I replace the neural network model in CubeMX and regenerate code, I get dozens of compile errors (undefined reference, multiple definition, missing files, etc.).Clean project in IDEDelete build / Objects / Listings foldersReimport the new model in CubeMXRegenerate code completelyI have tried:But the issue still exists. It seems old AI files are not cleaned properly when changing models.Has anyone faced similar issues on STM32N6 when switching AI models with CubeMX + X‑CUBE‑AI?How did you solve this? Thanks for help.

Hello. I used ST25R100 to read the data in Mifare Classic Card. I'm using X-CUBE-NFC9 library. But I can't receive valid Token RB in Authentication steps. If ST25R100 can read the data in Mifare Classic Card? How do I communicate and exchange data with Mifare Classic Card? Is there a demo for this?
I am recently retired and have used TouchGFX for my past job. I typically run a Mac, so I decide to buy an inexpensive PC so I can do some development with TouchGFX. I'm using a GMXtec NucBoxG3_Plus. I've installed TouchGFX and it runs, but when I try to start a project using either the STM32F469I DISCO or the STM32H743I EVAL2, the progress bar increases to 88%, then hangs and the program exits. I have about 400GB available on my SSD. Any ideas? Thanks
Hi all, I've been using CubeIDE for a little while and decided to build my next project using the STM32 VSCode extensions, which I am still figuring out. I am also figuring out CMake for the first time, as I let CubeIDE handle all the build details previously. In the past, CubeIDE let me add .h and .c files through the UI and automatically added them to the build process. I've found that I can make my own files and still build by manually altering the CMakeLists.txt file under the stm32cubemx directory, but I find myself editing the ioc file often enough that I'd rather not do this every single time I want to make a small change, and as the project size grows. All the drivers I've needed so far are part of CubeMX's middlewares, but if I do download a third party driver I foresee this becoming an issue there as well. Are there any workarounds to include manual additions to the generated CMake file? I'd like to utilize an STM feature if possible before I try making my own cmake file
Create a FreeRTOS project, keeping all settings at default configuration. Use CMake for building. The steps for creating the project are as follows:When the first task is initiated, a large number of recursive functions will appear in the function call stack.
I have a component on a board that I am trying to identify. It showsST logoBGVGP244I'm hoping someone can help with this. I included a pic in hopes that will help.Regards,Curtis
