Hello, I measure the output differential voltage of the drivers (with 100ohm termination resistor) and it is always higher than 0.4V that is referred to the datasheet. What I measure is about 0.68V. Is that normal? Thank you in advance
Good afternoon, We are evaluating the possible consequence for the LVDS transceiver RHFLVDSR2D2 in case that it is supplied with a voltage above its absolute value which is 4,8V.In particular we are asked to evaluate the case that voltage applied to supply is 5V: can you provide us some information to analyse this failure? Is possible to have an equivalent failure impedance to be considered from supply to inputs/output pins? Also a very simple equivalent circuit of input/output would be very useful to analyse effects on interface in such failure case.Kind regards
Hello to everyone. I am trying to see the data via I2C with the capacitive sensor (FDC2214-Q1),but I see the values I have assigned as 0 in live experiment.I'm sure about the hardware part. I would be happy if you help. /* Private define ------------------------------------------------------------*//* USER CODE BEGIN PD */#define FDC2214_I2C_ADDR_0 0x2A // Address is 0x2A (default) if 0x2B (high) //#define FDC2214_I2C_ADDR_1 0x2B#define FDC2214_DEVICE_ID 0x7F#define FDC2214_DATA_CH0_LSB 0x01#define FDC2214_DRIVE_CH0 0x1E#define FDC2214_DATA_CH0_MSB 0x00#define FDC2214_DATA_CH0 0x00static char value_str[10];uint32_t value = 0;uint16_t lsb_buffer = 0;uint16_t msb_buffer = 0;uint8_t *lsb_buffer_ptr = (uint8_t *)&lsb_buffer;uint8_t *msb_buffer_ptr = (uint8_t *)&msb_buffer; //HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(I2C_HandleTypeDef *hi2c, uint16_t DevAddress, uint16_t MemAddress, uint16_t MemAddSize, uint8_t *pData, uint16_t Size, uint32_t Timeout)HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(
Hi ST community, does the STUSB4500L also supports negotiation for data communication?E.g. can I use D+/D- pins of the USB-C port while PD is negotiated by the STUSB4500L?The STUSB4500 seems to support that by setting the flag USB_COMM_CAPABLE within (NVM) configuration, while the datasheet of STUSB4500L does not mention anything about data communication nor the USB_COMM_CAPABLE flag. Thanks & best regards, Martin
I have run into problems trying to get voice data from the MP34DT05-A PDM Microphone on the BlueNRGLP eval board. Specifically, and after spending a fair chunk of time (using the BLE_Sensor_Demo_BlueMSApp demo code as a starting point), it appears the ADC register is not being updated while talking into the PDM mic. I was using the KEIL memory window to monitor ADC memory addresses and was looking at the Downsample and Decimation data output registers, which render 0x00000000 and 0xDA880000 respectively. They never change despite applying sound. This leads me to believe that either the PDM microphone or ADC is not being suitably initialized (or something else...that covers the possibilities). Anyone have any suggestions how to slay this beast?Update 07-11-22: Not using Downsample (DS) so that is not of concern. I am using the Decimation Filter (DF). Also learned PDM digital data comes straight from the MP34DT05-A chip and ADC performs decimation (at least I think that's how it works).C
Hello,I'm using a BlueNRG-2 via SPI from a main uC host. The BLE stays advertising and the main uC goes to Standby mode. When someone tries to connect to my device, main uC wakes up. Since I don't want to restart the BLE (this would reset our address, and we would lose information of the device that wanted to connect with us), I'm avoiding re-initialization of the module depending on wakeup flag. However, during first initialization, when setting up the GATT services, I received from the BlueNRG some service and characteristic handles. These are later used to exchange messages, so I need to know their value. When rebooting main uC, I lose this information. I thought I could do aci_gatt_disc_all_primary_services() in order to retrieve the handles, but is not working. I see some other services but not the one from my application (which I add at the first init, as primary service).I know the UUID (since I'm the one initializing the services and characteristics in first place), so I also tri
I'm hoping to use the STUSB4700 in a product design. The product needs to be supplied by normally by a tablet (only 5V @ 100mA required). Sometimes the product will have external power available and when it does, I want to source power to the tablet. Understanding the STUSB4700 is not a dual role, can I simply draw from Vbus for the sink scenario and then when external power is available, the STUSB4700 jumps into action and negotiates sourcing?Ref page 21 application example of datasheet.
The Lis2du12 chip is malfunctioning, and the ODR of the CTRL5 register can only be written to 0x4 and 0x8. When writing to 0xa and then reading, it is 0x8, and the register status is always 0x02, and the power down bit is always 1, indicating no operation, please help me
Hello,I am using BlueNRG-M0A and have a successful implementation working. However, I have a scenario that I'm unsure how to properly program. If I am currently paired to a Bluetooth device (i.e. a phone). The Bluetooth app crashes or the phone goes out of range. Therefore, it never sends a "disconnect" command. My firmware does not recognize that and continues sending data, which causes it to get "stuck" and repeatedly tries to send the data until it times out. I want to recognize this in a more timely manner, have the firmware "disconnect" from that device that's gone and bring itself back so it is discoverable. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do so?
Hello everyone,I'm trying to write a driver for the ILI9341 display (8 bit parallel mode, not SPI) using the ST HAL. I couldn't get the libraries I found online working, I imagine for the same reason I can't get mine to work. Obviously I have double checked my wiring.I took an existing Arduino library, stripped a bunch of code away and verified it worked on an Arduino. Then I changed the Arduino specific calls (pinMode, digitalWrite, digitalRead and delay) and converted them into ST HAL equivalent. The code I attached is supposed to print the display ID (I have removed the auto-generated comments). On Arduino it prints `0x9341` (which is correct), instead the ST version prints `0x1a1a1a1a`.I'm using a Nucleo 64 STM32L053R8T6 board and STM32CubeIDE. I have attached a screenshot of the configurations of the pins, but I also configure them at runtime (see the functions ILI9341_PrepareDataPinsForWriting and ILI9341_PrepareDataPinsForReading)I have also added a screenshot of the IDE and of t
Hi,I am doing simulations for Electrical Characteristics and find the the IDSS and IGSS are in the range of nA instead of uA as quoted in the datasheet. Can any ST Engineer help me if the numbers need updates? I filed a support ticket, instead was informed that I can find answers on the community forum.Thank you for the help.Best Regards,Ramu
According to the characteristic/features section in this BlueSTSDK documentation page, characteristic data has a 2-byte timestamp. What are the units of this timestamp? In other words, what does each tick in the timestamp represent? The timestamp goes from 0 to 2^16 - 1, then resets. In the data I have collected, the timestamp appears to reset every 2 seconds. This would imply one tick is 2 s / 2^16 ≈ 3.052e-5 s. However, I want to verify exactly what the reset period is. For maybe, e.g., the data is actually resetting every 2.048 s = 2^11 ms, implying one tick is 2^11 ms / 2^16 = 3.125e-5 s.
Hello,i defined a characteristic with notify propriety : ret = aci_gatt_add_char(Service2_Handle1,UUID_TYPE_128,&char_uuid,26,CHAR_PROP_NOTIFY | CHAR_PROP_WRITE | CHAR_PROP_WRITE_WITHOUT_RESP,ATTR_PERMISSION_NONE,GATT_NOTIFY_ATTRIBUTE_WRITE | GATT_NOTIFY_READ_REQ_AND_WAIT_FOR_APPL_RESP,16,1,&Service2_Char_Notify_Handle);with CHAR_PROP_NOTIFY it is generate CCCD and by default Client Notification is disabled.I need to enable it on the server, so i tryed with this code : Service2_Char_Notify_NotifDesc_Handle = Service2_Char_Notify_Handle+2;ret = aci_gatt_set_access_permission(Service2_Handle1,Service2_Char_Notify_NotifDesc_Handle,(0x01 | 0x02)); //Access_Permissions uint8_t char_notify_ennotifdesc_val[2] = {0x01,0x00}; ret = aci_gatt_write_char_desc(connection_handle, Service2_Char_Notify_NotifDesc_Handle, 2, char_notify_ennotifdesc_val); But in debugging with an android app, the notification will stil disabled ! How can i enable the notification to th
It looks like BlueNRG-MS doesn't remember that BLE client asked it to change CCCD from 0 (default value) to 1 (subscribe to value change notifications) upon BLE server reboot. And I need to restore CCCD to 1 because BLE client doesn't do it on reconnect.More details in this topic: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/ru-RU/617c16ea-37d6-43c6-bab8-f925642ef1db/ble-hid-hid-over-gatt-device-status-reports-are-not-received-after-device-reconnected?forum=wdk&prof=requiredbtw: I am aware that this value must be set by BLE client, but what should I do if it doesn't do it?
Hello,How can i modify the configuration of Generic Access (0x1800)e and Generic Attribute (0x1801) services ?add characteristic and change permissionsplease find in attachment actual configuration (by default) and the target configThank you,

Dear SupporterWe make a design using the "VL53L1X" for people counting applications. To test it, we placed it above the entrance of a room (as in the YouTube link "People Counting Using a Single ST Time-of-Flight Sensor" posted by ST Microelectronics). It works well, but it gives a miss count. When we tested it regularly and we noticed it didn't count the person wearing dark clothes especially black and dark blue, and the sensor took it into account if the same person was wearing a small white cloth on his head. Our suspicion is that this sensor is not working in black color. How to fix this problem and are there any other way?RegardsNarayanan P
Hello Everyone,I have issues communicating with my new Nucleo-G431RB using usb driver STSW-LINK009 in win10. Here is what I found. After plugging in the use cable to my laptop, I saw an "unknow USB device (Device description request failed)" showed up in the device manager and with an exclamation mark !. Nothing worked after that. The driver seemed to be installed correctly, because an "USB Mass Storage Device" showed up when I plugged in Nucleo-F103RB board and communication was working normally. Is it because the different between ST-Link/V2-1 vs. STLINK-V3 the G431RB had? It seemed STSW-LINK009 driver worked fine with ST-Link/V2-1 but not STLINK-V3. Is there another driver for STLINK-V3S. It appeared the same way on all 3 of my computers with win10. How do I remedy this issue? Thanks Everyone!
Hello,I have configured the BLE Beacon V1.0 sensor with the Nano Beacon software, I can detect it with applications like nrf Connect or ST BLE Toolbox. I've programmed a stm32 card as a client, I can detect the devices, but I can't detect the beacon sensor; that's the problem I'm having. Here are screens showing the configuration I made with the Nano Beacon software: Here are the functions I programmed on the stm32 board to detect the beacon:with : #define SCAN_P 16384 #define SCAN_L 16384 /********************************************************************************************/ Do you have any suggestions please? Thanks in advance.#Beacon
I'm starting a project with BLUENRG-LP and I used WiSE Studio to map the pins and generate the initial project. On my board, I have an LED connected to a GPIO pin I would like to blink, so I added to the while loop:HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, LL_GPIO_PIN_11);HAL_Delay(1000);The problem I'm having is that I'm not able to build the project because the HAL functions are not recognized:undefined reference to `HAL_GPIO_TogglePin'undefined reference to `HAL_Delay'I wrote #include "rf_driver_hal.h" at the beginning of the file and included the file "rf_device_hal_conf.h" in the project (which I took from the SDK HAL example), but the error persists.I'm more used to CubeMX and I don't know exactly what the problem is here. Is there any reason why it's not working? Is there any other strategy I can use to map pins and program my board?
Hello, recently I desoldered a STMicroelectronics B2L334 from a dead power supply of a dell dimension 2400, but i cannot find a datasheet on it. Does anyone have the datasheet? I need it. Thanks.
Hi all I am using the STW81300 for a project and the Pout level makes sense for 8-16GHz port. When I set the frequency to 2.4GHz, I am getting only -15dBm or so, while the second and third harmonic of this at 4.8GHz and 7.2GHz are 8dB higher in power. is this normal? in the PLL's block diagram I see the 2.4GHz is coming out of a divider but I expected the power level to be higher than that. When I set the frequency to 5GHz (just to push the second and third harmonic away from 8GHz RFOUT port) I am getting about 3dBm of RF power. Have you seen similar behavior? is this normal, is it possible to fix the power in setting, I can't figure this out. (I have one LO driver and Filter, I could add another amplifier if there is no fix in setting). Thanks Mohsen
Hello,I have an installation where the S2-LP has been blocked in LOCKST(0x14).Which command can remove this ? S2LP_CMD_StrobeReady()?The datasheet doesn't give this information.
Hi. From DS of TS555 I'm not clear about RESET acitve low level. In DS VRESET is given 0.4V(min), 1.1V(typ), 1.5V(max) for +25°C and 0.3V...2.0V for whole temp range, see attachementCan someone help to get min/typ/max level for RESET is active and the level RESET is inactive at +5V supply and -25°C....+85°C.Thx Tom
"Using SPIRIT1 to transmit packets. I need an empty command (like NOP). Will it be generated automatically, or do I need to add it manually? I didn't find any relevant explanation in Datasheet. Also, can FEC be manually disabled?"
