Would you confirm the STM8S207RBT3CRT can directly placed to the STM8S207RBT6C with no Hardware/firmware changes?

We’re using STM8S207RBT6C for our current production. Due to the on-going IC shortage matter, we're trying to source a alternatives that can directly working on our existing design without any hardware nor firmware changes. We were able to find some batch of “STM8S207RBT3CRT?.

We believe this higher temperature range product can be directly replace the current one without any Hardware and Firmware modifications. Would you please confirm this?

Thank you very much,

I suppose you had in mind STM8S207RBT3CTR as replacement of STM8S207RBT6C. There are two differences between both. Temperature one (T3 means wider temperature range up to 125 degC instead of 85degC) and different final packaging (Tape and Reel instead of Tray / Tube). In such a case this new part can be used instead of previous one without any issue.
