STM8 IC used in STM8A Discovery

Hi STM Team,

Which STM8 IC is used in STM8A Discovery?

Is it STM8AF5288TAX or STM8AF5288TAY ?

Could you also let us know the difference between both the versions?

Thanks.

Welcome, @H_H_11 to the community!

First a note: even though all STM8A will still be available until 2031, they are already on NRND (Not Recommended for New Design).

The STM8A-DISCOVERY consists of two boards, with the MB1036 containing an STM8AF5288TAY. However, there is no technical difference between the part with suffixes X and Y, both letters only denote the packaging unit in which the STM8AF5288TA is delivered. This can also be found in the data sheet.

Does it answer your question?

/Peter
