Hello,
I downloaded STM32CubeIDE v1.0.0 and tried to install it on my Windows 7 computer.
Unfortunatly I have a NSIS Error "Error launching installer". I tried to download again the file, tried on another windows 7 PC but I still have this issue.
Someone know how to solve this issue?
Thanks and best regards
Fabien

yes, i meet the same thing. While unzip the software by 7-zip, the "NSIS ERROR" occured,
but use the WINDOWS default unzip software, i could run the install progress.

Same here, in Jan 2020 on Win10 64bit;
- Copied unzipped directory to c:\
- Shortened its name to "en.st-stm32cubeide_1.2.0"
- Shortened the exe name to "st-stm32cubeide.exe"
- Installer started

I had the same problem. I solve it. 2 issues:
1) Path name should be only latin symbols (no cyrillic or other characters).
2) You can just unpack zip archive with 7zip software, open the install application with 7zip extract and extract "STM32CubeIDE" directory to any path, then launch stm32cubeide.exe as portable app.

I placed the installer in f:\pom\st-stm32cubeide_1.3.0_5720_20200220_1053_x86_64.exe from long path with non-ascii characters.
An installer ran correctly on Windows 7 SP1 - 64 bit Czech with Avast antivirus.
Thank's for good tips

Thank you so mach!
I have a Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and I have the same problems with istallation (NSIS Error). I'm not check MD5 but for unzipping I used WinRar.
I could fix the issue after remove st-stm32cubeide_1.4.0_7511_20200720_0928_x86_64.exe in root drive C:
All started without an error!

En 2020 es cierto lo que dice el colega de arriba:
- Cambias el nombre del archivo a "st-stm32cubeide.exe", después
- Inicias la instalación :)
- Enjoy!

Rename the exe file to "stm32.exe" and then put it in the C directory. Okay, it worked.
