Unable to use VSCode extension on ARM64 Windows

I run bleeding edge snapdragon Windows laptops. It's great stuff.

The VSCode for STM32 extension seems to detect the arch just fine as aarch64 but it sets the resource path to an nonexistent folder:

c:\Users\<user>\.vscode\extensions\stmicroelectronics.stm32cube-ide-core-1.1.0\resources\binaries\win32\aarch64

While I understand an arm64 native build may be difficult for ST to support.
Is there a way to alter the path to fix it to the x86-64 binaries? ARM64 Windows has full emulation support for the 64-bit x86 that is completely transparent and seemless.
