STM32CubeIDE STM32Cube project creation issue

Description

In STM32CubeIDE version 1.18.1 and older, after selecting any MCU or MPU when creating a new project, the STM32Cube option becomes greyed out. This means only empty projects can be created, and STM32CubeMX initialization is not available from within STM32CubeIDE.

How to Reproduce

  1. Open STM32CubeIDE (v1.18.1 or older)
  2. Create a new STM32 project
  3. Select any MCU or MPU
  4. Notice the STM32Cube option is disabled

Expected vs Actual

  • Expected: STM32Cube option enabled for STM32CubeMX-based project creation
  • Actual: STM32Cube option greyed out; only empty projects are possible to create
