Have been spending time reading the Wiki about the Yocto environment, is there a link to forward technical suggestions and grammar corrections?

Hi @KevinA

This Q&A section is the right place to do so.

Thanks to share your suggestions/corrections in a dedicated post.

BR,

Olivier

Finally received the new computer, while setting up I found the 'Get Started' needs a link to Development zone/PC prerequisites

After installing everything from Development zone/PC prerequisites I started the Getting started where the first issue was the java 8 install, Development zone/PC prerequisites installed java 11 (sudo apt install default-jre). Next came the STMCubeProgrammer v2.2.0 which is now 2.3.0 and when you run the setup it installs in $HOME/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/STM32CubeProgrammer and nothing in the WiKi matches what v2.3 just did...

I added  export PATH=$HOME/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/STM32CubeProgrammer/bin:$PATH to my .bashrc and tested the programmer, ok. The next 'step' was copying the rules so I copied the *.rules since they don't need Readme.txt and version.txt in the /etc/udev/rules.d directory. I think I picked up on everything, I did not install Android, that comes after I get the distribution setup so we can see if our application will run.

Will continue tomorrow - FYI it appears Development zone/PC prerequisites installed everything yet 4.2 USB serial link has me installing again.

I started back up this morning but had to stop:

Here are some suggestions:

From the Getting Started:

3 Download the SDK

3.1 For ecosystem release v1.1.0

Link: (20 directories below the root of the website, it may have broke from all the pressure at that depth)

https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/software/sw_development_suite/group0/27/f6/a2/92/f9/a3/47/12/stm32mp1dev_yocto_sdk/files/SDK-x86_64-stm32mp1-openstlinux-4.19-thud-mp1-19-10-09.tar.xz/jcr:content/translations/en.SDK-x86_64-stm32mp1-openstlinux-4.19-thud-mp1-19-10-09.tar.xz

I gave it a while and just tried again, nope, still broke.

You really should have a site crawler going to prevent this from causing customer grief

Here are some suggestions:

I'll move/copy these to a post in the main MP1 forum, nothing is happening here

Basically, if we can't download the files we are just wasting time.

Sunday morning the problem was still there and I did some global traceroutes, then IP Whois to discover two groups claiming the IP address, Amazon and cscglobal.com. I sent an email to cscglobal.com letting them know about the issue and by noon it appears to have been resolved. I downloaded the current Source and installed it completing the WiKi to they part of installing the IDE BUT the Wiki doesn't have STM32CubeIDE, Why? I downloaded from st.com and installed but how do I hook into STM32MPU?

The Wiki needs an update starting with the STM32Programmer, no GUI to the install, the SDK has been updated and the source has changed.
