Hello,
I'm interested in using one of the STM32WL chips for a telemetry board. I need this board to be as small as reasonably possible. I am trying to decide on a way to program it and (optionally) have a way for it to connect to a laptop via usb. Ideally, I would be able to use on USB port for both firmware updates and serial communication, but it appears that the STM32WLE5C8U6 doesn't support DFU.
What would be the most optimal (spacewise) solution to both program and USB interface with the STM32WLE5C8U6? I am fine adding a USB to UART or any other necessary chips.
Also, what is the most compact solution for only exposing a programming interface (no USB needed) / what is the minimum surface area needed to be able to program the chip using the STLINK?

Probably won't get much smaller than this:
In particular, TC2030 provides 6 pads which is enough for whatever you need.
The edge-connect is even smaller, footprint-wise.
Both are awkward to use.
