Looking for Predictive Maintenance Hardware Recommendations

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for the latest condition-based predictive maintenance kits or devices with the following features:

1. Vibration monitoring
2. Acoustic sensing
3. Temperature monitoring
4. Battery Powered, Low Voltage
5. Wi-Fi connectivity
6. AI-based anomaly detection/failure prediction
7. Cloud connectivity.

 

Could you please let me know the latest and best recommended product that meets these requirements? Any details on specs, AI capabilities, and cloud integration would be greatly appreciated.

Hi again,

I’ve studied the technical specifications of the following ST kits for my use case (condition-based predictive maintenance with vibration, acoustics, temperature, battery power, Wi-Fi, edge-AI anomaly detection, and cloud connectivity):

  • STEVAL-PROTEUS1

  • STEVAL-STWINBX1 (STWIN.box)

  • STEVAL-STWINKT1

  • STEVAL-MKSBOX1V1 (SensorTile.box)

  • STEVAL-STWINKT1B

From this analysis, STEVAL-STWINBX1 looks to be the most suitable overall (sensing coverage, battery operation, BLE/Wi-Fi, and support for embedded AI + cloud).

This is for my Master’s final project, and I will probably be using Azure IoT Cloud for the cloud integration.

Question: Is there a newer or more advanced ST kit/device than STWIN.box for this type of application—for example, a next-gen platform with improved wide-band vibration + ultrasound capture, low-power Wi-Fi, enhanced on-board ML/TrustZone, or out-of-the-box cloud reference integrations?

If there’s a recommended successor/roadmap product (or specific expansion boards/firmware packs) I should look at, I’d greatly appreciate your advice.
