GfxDesigner: drag&drop for project.touchgfx

ferro

Hi Gfx Team,

Could you please implement drag&drop as an alternative to open a project.touchgfx ?

Thank you

The new incoming version of TouchGFX Designer will open way faster, so if it is just to avoid closing then re-opening TouchGFX Designer because it is slow, it won't be that important soon.

Perhaps the new incoming version would be a sufficient solution and opening a new project from "File" => "Open" would be a sufficient work around while waiting for the new version?

Hello @ferro ,

In which case would the drag and drop be useful for you?

Do you want to be able to drag a .touchgfx project in the Designer main window at any time?
Do you want to be able to drag a .touchgfx file after clicking on "File" => "Open"?

Hi @GaetanGodart

"be able to drag a .touchgfx project in the Designer main window at any time?"

This would be ideal.

@GaetanGodart

Until now, I've always closed the Designer, clicked on the project.touchgfx and let the OS handle it. Very slow. MSVC IDE spoiled me with my expectations - its very fast.

I just noticed that keeping the Designer open and opening a project.touchgfx via [file > open] is lightning fast.

Yes, it is good as it is. Thanks.
