What is the max power consumption of the STM32L412RBT6?

Hello,

I am estimating the max power consumption of the STM32L412RBT6. Based on the datasheet, I got two results, one is 303mW which is on page 78, and the other one is 0.462mW, which is on page 76( 3.3V X 140mA = 0.462mW). Please guide me on which one is correct or share the right information with me, thanks.

I think there is a general misunderstanding of terms. The "current consumption" of the micro will depend on what software you run, the the speed you run it at and the things you connect to the pins. The power dissipation max is the maximum amount of heat that type of package can get rid of - note that the UFQFPN packages can get rid of a lot more heat because they have that giant pad under the body. The max current specs let you know the maximum current each pin (or total of pins) can carry, or to be more precise, how much the circuitry associated with the pins can handle.
