The .DFU file is a specially packaged binary image, typically built from one or more .HEX or .BIN files using ST's DFU Manager tool.

The release notes suggest there are .HEX files, so use those.

I put BOOT0 = 1 and uploaded Virtual COMport software with Jlink,

it didn't give me any responses, isn't my USB working ? or like you said, flawed ?

thanks

''I put BOOT0 = 1 and uploaded Virtual COMport software with Jlink,''

That does not sound right. With Boot0 set, DFU should be used to download.

''it didn't give me any responses, isn't my USB working ? or like you said, flawed ?''

I think we cannot tell since the download was not by DFU.

Does your downloaded program have any way to show it is running (eg flashing LED)?

Rick, I have some problems with the VCP too. When you installed the driver, have you had a new device in Device Manager? (Without connecting the board.) As I understand it, the device should appear anyway, but I do not have any... Or they appear only when you connect the board?

Hi

''As I understand it, the device should appear anyway, but I do not have any... Or they appear only when you connect the board?''

It should only appear when the board is connected.
