Problem is faced by myself for one year. I cannot use those tools on my Mac, and Windows laptop I use occasionally. Check recently with MX 6.2.0 and IDE 1.6.1
The problem: when trying to configure peripherals I am not able to click with items on the list. I can expand list, i.e. clicking on System Core does its job, but then clicking on RCC does nothing, cannot select crystal type.
I can switch to "Clock Config" tab and play with it, but I need to activate HSE.
Same goes with all other list elements, i.e sub panel with parameters is not showing up.
