I regretfully bought a STM32F429I DISCO board and I plugged it in to my Win 8 PC. I was hoping to use this platform with mbed. Well the board is supposed to show up as a usb device but it doesn't.
I installed the drivers and updated the firmware, installed ST LINK. Uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them. Reboot, reset, etc.Wasting a ton of my time just trying to figure out how mbed is going to work with this board and my PC.I don't even want to install an IDE to find out it still isn't going to work because of drivers or something else.So dissapointed. #fail #notworking #rtfm-lmgtfy #poordrivers2016-02-04 03:36 AM
If you updated the firmware, then clearly the drivers are working.
Does this board support mbed drag-n-drop, don't seem to recall it being one that did, that would be the NUCLEO boards, and the newer DISCO (F469 and F746) boards.https://developer.mbed.org/platforms/ST-Discovery-F469NI/
