Hello guys,
I just got the new STM32F429 Discovery Board ans I like it! I love the fact, that there is a LCD Controller integrated that drives the onboard LCD. It's nice to use the LCD for debugging instead of USART.BUT!I want to use this Board with an external (USB3300) USB HS Phy too. But I think it wont work, because of the Pins both Controllers are sharing. What a shame. Nevertheless, does anybody know if it is possible to use the USB HS Core with the ULPI Interface WITHOUT the LCD? I copied the working code from my STM32F407 Discovery Project but the USB Device cannot be recognized by the PC.The worst case will be to cut off the wire on top of the LCD Screen, because USB HS is much more important to me than the LCD functionality. But I want to be sure before I cut the wires. So again, is it the only way to get the USB HS Core with ULPI Interface working? Many thanks in advance and greetings from Germany.2014-01-08 07:26 AM
The design of the board is solely focused on SDRAM + LCD, expansion is broken on multiple fronts, SDIO+Ethernet.
On other threads I've posted the Micro Xplorer files for the F429I-DISCO board. Consider a different board...
