ST has a bug in their installation for Linux. It makes the synapatic manager and software manager have file errors . It says the stm32 rules must be re-installed which you can not do

ST-Link Utility Stopped working for the following processor STM32L496AGI3 I tried to download ST Cube programmer and the installer said that Java Runtime En. is either missing or corupt. I reinstalled Java and I still get the same message.
