Hello,
I want to get the SPINFamily Evaluation Tool (L6480) working but everytime I get an error message to make sure the communication board (STEVAL-PCC009V2) is connected to the PC and board firmware has been updated to the last version. The IBUUI Updater gets stuck at bulletpoint ''Switch to DFU mode'' (switching to DFU mode onboard does not affect).I also purchased the ST-LINK/V2 and successfully flashed the firmware from the STEVAL-PCC009V2 page, but that does not affect neither.I have seen exactly the same problem in other discussions but there has not been a useful solution yet.I need support as soon a possible, my project is frozen now.Kind RegardsPhil2013-05-14 11:01 AM

Yet you provide no cites of these, which might assist in correlating any information or commonality. Does the board show up in device manager as ''STM Device in DFU mode''? If it doesn't is the driver installed? What about if switching the board to DFU, then resetting, or disconnecting/reconnecting? What version of Windows? 32/64 bit?

Thank you for your fast reply =)
I'm using Win7 32Bit, tried is already on virtualized WinXP 32Bit because I can not even install the driver on an x64 architecture. At the moment I am setting up an old Win2000 system. The board is shown up in device manager as ''STM32 based IBU UI Tool''. When I want to select the ''STM Device in DFU mode'' - driver there is an exclamation mark shown in device manager.I have tried a variety of valuations but non of them worked:Is the DFU driver the one found in ''..\STMicroelectronics\SPINFamily Evaluation Tool\Updater\Drivers\DFU''?

Hello clive1,
I still haven't found a solution to my problem. The discussion about the same problem is here [[DEAD LINK /public/STe2ecommunities/mcu/Lists/motor_control/Flat.aspx?RootFolder=/public/STe2ecommunities/mcu/Lists/motor_control/STEVAL-PCC009V2%20firmware%20reflash&FolderCTID=0x01200200770978C69A1141439FE559EB459D7580005A810128153A7244A21980BD49736843¤tviews=189]STEVAL-PCC009V2 firmware reflash].I have even tried with my old Windows 2000 OS, but I'm also getting no response from the Updater tool. Can you help us please?Kind RegardsPhil2013-05-22 11:36 AM
Can you help us please?
You're really in the wrong forum for this, can't the users in the Motor forum help you? If not them, your ST reps or FAEs? I've used Dfuse 3.0.2 on Win 7 x64 without problems on some of the STM32 parts I've tested it with. UM0412 was the older name, and I have a copy locally. Ok, I will try in the Motor forum.
I just supposed to get help in STM32 forum because the STEVAL-PCC009V2 uses a STM32x MCU.Thanks for your share!2013-07-06 09:43 AM
Won't the spinFamily Evaluation Tool Software (or the easySpin Evaluation Software) work with the STM32_VL_Discovery board? I know it can work with the STSW-PCC009V2 (and maybe the STSW-PC009V1).
But in a Quick Guide I recall it saying that the Value Line Discovery boards can be used to control the dSPIN line.. however since I don't think there's an eval board for the dSPIN, my guess is that it'd work with easySpin demonstration board (EVAL6474H) too.
