Reduce discovery power consumption - how to power down ST-LINK chip

Hi all,

I have STM32L-Discovery and STM32F4-Discovery  boards. When they're already flashed and connected to target device, ST-LINK chip still work, consumes power and blinks LEDs. Is there any ideas how to swich off or at least power down that chip?
