I downloaded and installed the IAR ARM Kickstart software but can't figure out how to get it to talk to the STM32 board. Nor can I find any STM32 example projects to load and run.

Try the URL on the board
http://www.st.com/stm32-discovery It takes you here http://www.st.com/mcu/contentid-133-110-STM32VLDISCOVERY.html Download the ''STM32VLDISCOVERY firmware package'' ZIP file, it contains example code with projects for IAR/KEIL/ATOLLIC. This includes the demo application running on the board originally. Personally I'd recommend downloading the Keil uv4 IDE, it compiles and debugs onto the board with no effort (ie plugs in and works), but whatever floats your boat.2010-09-27 02:04 PM

Thanks. I followed that link this morning and read the pdf document. I totally missed the zip file icon.
It could have been a bit clearer, if they'd just said it was LIBRARY, DEMO and EXAMPLE source. I would have preferred to have a CD in the package, but I think things are still in flux, plus it would add to the cost.
