Hi there, Can ı place 48MHZ active clock as a MEMS BASE RESENATOR for HSE CLOCK

Do you mean a MEMS oscillator with active full-swing output?

If yes, that should work as with any other oscillator.

Anyway, check the STM's datasheet for maximum HSE input frequency.

Accorcing to datasheet, HSE clock value is between 4-48MHz.

Clock referance part number is given at AN2867 however HSE clokc is not mentioned.

Therefore ı asked this question.

Can ı place active oscillator (MEMS, part number ASFLMB-48.000MHZ-LR-T ) instead of 48MHZ crystal (part number ABM8G-48.000MHZ-18-D2Y-T)?

That should work, it looks like the ASFLMB-48.000MHZ-LR-T exactly behaves like an oscillator.

Just curious: why do you want to use a MEMS oscillator? It will definitely draw a few more mA.

Although the MEMS oscillators have become quite good over the years, I'm currently using a MEMS VCO.
