Hi,
Is there any way to find out the chip ID including flash density (16K,32K,.. ) in real time? from my understanding the CUPID register gives more general information, am i right?Options

The CPUID register gives you information about the Cortex-M3 core but not what surrounds it.
For the STM32 family consult the --specifically section 28.Options
