Hi Support Team,

I am using cosmic toolchain with STVD for stm8 proccessor (stm8l052r8) presently and want to use double data type for floating point calculations for upto 14 digit precision . I noticed that cosmic compiler does not support double datatype for stm8 proccessors. So now I am shifting to stm32 series(stm32l152) with ARM Cortex M3 architechture, just wanted to confirm if cosmic supports double datatype for stm32 MCU?

Waiting for your response,

Hi Dhiraj Patil,

Based on this

http://www.cosmic-software.com/ARM_cortex.php

, cosmic toolchain supports IEEE single and double precision floating point formats with full ANSI libraries for the Cortex family (M0, M0+, M3, M4 and M7)

Suggest you call Cosmic's sale/support for such inquiries. I'll not that none of ST's STM32 tools have direct/explicit support for the ARM Cosmic compiler. ie SPL, CubeMX, HAL, etc.
