Complete USB OTG power solution design

Hi, I have been working on a power design that integrates with the STM32F401 utilizing OTG.  I would like to support OTG both as a host and device.  In addition, I would like to detect dedicated charging ports and other high current chargers.  TI, Maxim, and others seem require D+ and D- to go through the charge detector.  If they don't sense a host, they tend to shutoff the D+/D- switch.  The STUSBCD01B seems to test D+ and D- in parallel to main transceiver.  Would a solution with a charger detector in parallel and a STOTG04 or similar OTG negotiating charge pump work together for power negotiation?
