Hello ST Support,
I am using the B-L462E-CELL1 Discovery kit in Bulgaria with a Yettel BG IoT SIM card.
The onboard Type1SC modem reports:
Model: LBAD0XX1SC-DM
Firmware: RK_03_00_00_00_04121_001
The SIM is detected correctly:
AT+CPIN? -> READY
APN: iot
NB-IoT mode is selected:
AT%RATACT="NBIOT",1 -> OK
AT%RATACT? -> "NBIOT",1,1
However, the modem never registers or detects signal:
AT+CSQ -> 99,99
AT+CESQ -> 99,99,255,255,255,255
AT+COPS=? -> +CME ERROR
AT+CEREG? -> searching/not registered
AT+CGATT? -> 0
The same SIM card, in the same location, registers successfully on a SIMCom SIM7080G modem in NB-IoT
mode and finds Yettel BG / MCC-MNC 28405 / AcT 9.
Murata support told me that modem configuration and firmware update support for the B-L462E-CELL1
Discovery kit must be handled by ST. They also indicated that my modem firmware is 6 years old and this could be the problem.
Can you please provide the official firmware upgrade package and procedure for the Type1SC modem on
the B-L462E-CELL1?
Specifically, I need to know:
1. Is RK_03_00_00_00_04121_001 still supported for NB-IoT registration on current European networks?
2. Is a newer firmware such as RK_03_00_00_00_11851_001 available for this board?
3. What is the official process/tool to update the onboard Type1SC modem firmware?
4. Are any operator/profile/band settings required for Yettel Bulgaria NB-IoT, MCC-MNC 28405, APN iot?
Otherwise my board is unusable.
Thanks in advance,
Gerasim
