Nucleo-L552ZE-Q board has wrong part number for connectors

Working with a NUCLEO-L552ZE-Q  development board.   Requirement is to interface this board to another larger board where all the pinouts on unpopulated footprints for CN11 and CN12 ( the "Morpho" connectors ) can be brought out.   Therefore, the posts that stick out the bottom of the board must all match up in height.  The Nucleo PCB design files have listed the populated connectors CN7,CN8,CN9,CN10 on this board as CON_SAMTEC_SSW-110-23-X-D_N144_ARD      ( pin counts varying of course )

With an accurate digital caliper, I measured the posts that stick out of the bottom of this board measure 9.1mm long, taking the thickness of the PCB into consideration.

I bought this part ( SSW-110-23-G-D )  from Samtec and saw the post length and post geometry is NOT the same as what is on the board already populated.  I measured the posts on this part number.   The posts on this specified part number are 10mm long, and also much wider than what is actually populated on this Nucleo board.   This presents a problem because there is no matching part number from Samtec which can be populated into CN11 and CN12 that matches the length/width of the existing square posts on populated connectors CN7, CN8, CN9, CN10.   Therefore there is a height mismatch between posts if this board were to be plugged into a larger board, if I were to populate CN11 and CN12 with the same part family as CN7,8,9,10.

Question to the community is the following:

  • What is the actual correct part number(s) for CN7,CN8,CN9,CN10 that is populated on the assembled Nucleo board in my post title?
  • Are there any female 2.54mm pitch connectors with a long tail, from any manufacturer that, when populated, will match the length of the existing populated connectors CN7,CN8,CN9,CN10?
  • To whom can I report this discrepancy to on ST's side? What is the best course of action here to get these design files amended with the correct part number?
