3GPP release 17 for satellite connectivity using B-L462E-CELL1

Murata already demonstrated NTN connectivity using its type 1SC solution which is based on Altair ALT1250. The B-L462E-CELL1 rather uses a type 1SE from Murata, but it's also based on Altair ALT1250. Given we have a SIM card from a satellite operator supporting 3GPP release 17, is it possible to possible to build a proof of concept leveraging satellite connectivity using the B-L462E-CELL1? Thanks.

If I understand correctly, type 1SE from Murata in B-L462E-CELL1, is different from type 1SC from Murata which supports LTE Cat M/NB-IoT plus satellite NTN (as you mentioned), from hardware point of view.

Customer like you may be interested to update B-L462E-CELL1 to embed type 1SC so as to support satellite NTN. but this is more or less a marketing issue/decision other than a technical one.
