What is the RF tags i need to use in order to get from the ST25RU3993 5m range ?

Hi,

you will need so-called far field tags to achieve a read range of 5m.

These tags have usually a kind of loop in combination with a dipole.

Here is a typical design example:

The ST25RU3993 EVAL board demo kit includes two of such tags.

Another important point is to have a far field reader antenna as well.

The ST25RU3993 EVAL board demo kit does not include such a far field antenna!

It just includes a near-field antenna (max. read range: 0.3m).

So if you buy a ST25RU3993 EVAL board, you have to buy a far field reader antenna separately in order to achieve 5m read range.
