VN340SP-E DIAFG signal

Hi,

I'm using the VN340SP-E on a board to drive 4 output inductive loads from a 24V voltage

In one condition I connected solonoids (which are actually inductors) to the outputs.

I activated the 24V on the output stage and power was applied to the inductors, operating the solonids.

When I disconnected the power, with one inductor connected, the power went off and the DIAG signal stayed high

At another occasion, when I disconnected the power, with Two or more inductors connected, the power went off with the DIAG signal lowered for 5V or so, causing the device to be burned off and I can't use it anymore.

At one experiment a shift register, connected to the DIAG signal, burned off while the DIAG signall lowered.

Why does it happen? Can you help with this? How can I solve it?

Thanks,

Eldad
