STCP202000CFP's Rth(j-c) definition

Now I start to use STPS202000CFP and try to estimate junction temperature. Then in datasheet, ST defines Rth(j-c). Question1 : where is "c(case?)" point in this discrete device, center of case?. Question 2: Does Onsemi have Rth(j-a) for this device ?

  1. Yes, the point in question is located in the center of the case.
  2. STMicroelectronics cannot say whether Onsemi has any information about this device (please excuse this little joke, as you accidentally made a typo).
    STMicroelectronics does not provide any information on this because Rth(j-a) applies to a device without any heat sink, whereas such diodes are typically attached to a heat sink.
    Further details on thermal resistance and handling of the package can be found in AN5088.
