ST7FMC for sinusoidal PWM with PM motor

Hello,

first i tried the PMAC motor with the trapezoidal current waveform, but for my aims it is necessary to work with 3 Halls and the sinusoidal current waveforms. I have some problems to understand several facts from the AN 1947. For preparation you have to work with the RV3 on the Starter Kit to define a ''shift phase'' value/Phase Angle. It works all well but what does that mean for the motor and whats that shift angle? I think it is a ''time or position delay'' better an angle

between the Hallsignal and the position of the correspondent winding i.e. Hall 1 to Phase winding A . is that the fact?

The other Question is: What does these two optimal Phase Angle mean for the Motor which can be found? i have seen them on oscilloscope. They exist but which rule stands there behind.

Thanks for comments.

Yours sincerely

Benn
