Hi I am developing new carrier board for COMe type-6 Module. Where i have a requirement of Display port to connect an external display with 5v @3A max, 9V@1.67A max. below block diagram has

1. COMe type 6 module (Host).

2. Re-driver (MPN: TUSB1046A-DCI) for DP lines and USB lines.

3. A variable buck converter which will provide power from 12V source, for which need control signals from a PD IC.

4. We are looking a Power Delivery controller which will support the alternate mode , can you please suggest the PD IC from ST Microelectronics???

Hi @yadagiri1

For your project, I recommend using an STM32 with an embedded UCPD peripheral, combined with a TCPP (Type-C Port Protection). This offers efficient management of USB Power Delivery and cost effective.

Check this wiki for simplified implementation.

Here an example using STEVAL-2STPD01 kit includes an expansion board with two Type-C ports and integrates two STPD01PUR programmable buck converters. It is paired with the NUCLEO-G071RB +TCPP02-M18. Some resources :
