I am considering using STDRIVEG611 and STDRIVEG211 as gate drivers for a motor drive application.
I understand that these gate drivers generate and use 6 V for driving the GaN FET gate. However, since the maximum gate-to-source voltage rating of many GaN FETs is often 6 V, I am concerned about the risk of device failure when using a 6 V gate drive.
In particular, on the evaluation board EVSTDRVG611MC, the GaN FET used also has a 6 V maximum gate voltage rating. I would appreciate it if you could share your guidance on the safety and reliability of using a 6 V gate drive under such conditions
Additionally, if you can share any gate drive waveforms or related measurement results, it would be very helpful. If that is not possible, I completely understand.
Thank you very much for your time, and I look forward to your reply.
