Bluetooth Audio Latency: Tips for Using Wireless IEMs in Low-Lag Applications

I’ve been testing multiple wireless IEMs and noticed significant differences in latency depending on codec and connection type. For anyone working on gaming or audio-sensitive projects, here are a few practical tips I found useful:

• Stick with aptX LL or LC3 codecs if your module supports them
• Avoid using combined mic + stereo modes simultaneously on basic Bluetooth stacks
• If possible, run wired mode during firmware flashing or testing to minimize lag

I published a detailed comparison of IEM models and latency tests here: bestiem.com   it might help others working on similar setups.

Curious if anyone here has tried tweaking buffer settings on ST wireless modules for better results?
