Alternative for TIP31C in SMD Package

Dear Experts,

now working for vehicle ignition control through Relay (https://www.conrad.com/p/tianbo-electronics-trv4-l-12v-z-automotive-relay-12-vdc-1-change-over-1366523) , i have attached my circuit and i want to replace the tip31 to any other SMD package transistor, if i use bc547 this circuit was damage that transistor. i don't know the alternative for that kindly help to find best alternative for my circuit.

Get the data for the TIP32C type, and then look for an alternative type matching in package, and at least max. reverse voltage (Uce, Ucer) and current (Ic).

If said relais is an inductivity, don't forget the reverse diode.
