Dear user,
working in Open Loop the only limitation for the speed is given by physical parameter of the motor (bemf versus dc Bus) and sampling frequency. So, if the motor is designed properly to reach that speed, the ST7MC and provided GUI doesn't put any limitation. In cloded loop, you can simply verify that with 14 poles (that is, 7 pole pairs) the maximum allowed speed is around 5828 rpm; this for having at less around 10 samples at 50kHz pwm sampling frequency while using ST sensorless method (3 resitors method). Nevertheless, by customizing the firmware libraries delivered with the kit, it is relatively simple to overcome this limitation. Best regards, TanioOptions

I have a 14 pole BLDC motor which I want to control with the
AK-ST7FMC controller kit. My question is, what is the maximum output frequency from the controller ? I need to run the motor at 6000 RPM, is that possible ? Regards PeterOptions
