Country of Origin Issues

MallikarjunSE

Hello,
We are facing COO issues with almost all STM32G4 and H5 MCUs.
The website/invoice says COO is non china and when we actually get the products, the chip marking is CHN. When enquired, STMicro team bluntly emails saying CHN is not China.
After 20 days of follow-up, they gave clarification saying the changes they are making to COO based on processes.
We placed one more order after that assuming the clarification given. Now invoices have completely different COO compared to website COO mentioned.
Our customs has raised a query regarding wrong declaration. How to solve this issue?
Thank you!

Dear @MallikarjunSE ,

our Country of Origin is stated at our web site for each part number and here is an example

For this case the silicon is produced and manufactured in France , then having a final package and testing may be done at different locations thru different supply chains but will not change the Country of Origin that was declared by the supplier (ST). You need to get in touch with your local broker at customs for the declaration made or also get in touch with your direct supplier .

Hope it helps you ,

Haha.

Now look at this. Below is my invoice.

Hi @MallikarjunSEMallikarjunSE,

Thank you for the documents and screenshots, indeed this part number we produce in two different factories one in France and one in Taiwan: STMicroelectronics_25_14920.pdf

COO (Certificate of Origin) at your invoice and our web site seems not inline, and I would escalate internally to check with our specialists, please be patient.  thank you again for this interesting topic in our STCommunity.

STMicro team in India suggested us to change to H5 series after all this. Now H5 shows everything as China COO even though website says other COO.

This has literally stalled our production for 45 days now. No proper response from STMicroeletronics whatsoever. The response from the team doesn't look serious TBH. Very vague and blunt.
