The ST720 has 16K on-chip SRAM. But in the data sheet, the SRAM is always referred to as “program RAM. In section 6.1, the data sheet states that “Program Memory can be used for both code (instructions) and data (constants, tables, etc.) storage.
Does this mean that there are certain restrictions when the on-chip memory is data storage (such as read-only, and unit of access (e.g 32-bit boundary only), etc). We want to make certain that the on-chip SRAM can be read and written in byte, word (16 bit) and long word (32 bit) units to store frequently accessed parameters. Can you verify this for us?Options
