I have tested the X-CUBE-53L1A2 software with X-NUCLEO-53L1A2 expansion board, I cannot get ranging measurement above 4m using Lite Ranging or Autonomous mode (16x16 ROI).
Then I tested the X-CUBE-53L1A2 software with X-NUCLEO-53L1A1 expansion board, it works too and provide the same results as X-NUCLEO-53L1A2.
May I know is the STM ToF sensor (VL53L1) comes with X-CUBE-53L1A2 is newer generation compared to VL53L1X? Because both the A1 and A2 expansion board return the same Model ID (0xEA) and Model type (0xCC)
Is it the main difference between these two sensors is VL53L1 can provides accurate ranging above 4 m (up to 8m) and can work at faster speeds (60 Hz)?
How to check if VL53L1 is better than VL53L1x? and how to fully utilize VL53L1?
We wish to get the latest generation of STM ToF sensor, appreciate any advices or tips.
