SensorTile.Box and sharing ST BLE Sensor Classic "Expert View Applications" with other users

Hello,

I have a SensorTile.Box and I am playing with the "Expert View" mode on the ST BLE Sensor Classic app.

I have created a useful custom application, which combines the output of different sensors on the board and transmits them over USB. When I save this application, a json file is created into the smartphone file system. I want to share this application with another user, but when I send her the file and she puts the file into the "Files->Internal Memory->Documents->SensorTile.box folder", she is not able to see any new app in the ST BLE Sensor Classic app. The only applications that can be seen on a device are the ones created on the same device. Is there any way to enable the share of the application profiles between different devices?

Hi @francus76 ,

You can move the json file between different smartphones but they must all have the same app version and FW version on the sensorTile board.
When you have copied the json file to the smartphone make sure that the app has permissions to use the json file folder.
You can try sending us the json file to make some verifications.

thanks for your reply. Attached you can find a simple json file we are not able to share (it is not complex to recreate manually the application related to this json, but the problem occurs also with other more complex app jsons, whose applications are not simple to recreate manually). We have the same version of ST BLE Sensor Classic app [ version 4.20.1 (149)] and the problem occurs before uploading the app on the SensorTile.box, so it is not dependent by the SensorTile.box firmware. The problem is that even if we store the "foreign" json file in the same folder in which the ST BLE Sensor Classic app stores its own json files (i.e. the ones created on the same phone, and therefore it has surely the permissions to access that folder), the application associated to the "foreign" json file is not listed in the list of "Custom Apps" displayed when tapping on "Expert View". Only the apps created on the same phone are displayed in our case.

Could you give a try with the attached file?
