STUSB4500 unable to request more than 5V

Hello,

I have the tiny STUSB4500 kit (EVAL-SCS001V1), the nucleo + GUI for NVM programming, and the STM32G071B-DISCO packaged kit.

I plugged the kit (as a port capacities reader) on 3 Dell laptops. According to the ST kit the laptops are:

  • Compatible to USB-PD 2 or 3
  • Able to output 5, 9, 12, 14, 15 and 19-20V @ 15W

I have flashed the NVM memory of the tiny STUSB4500 board, modifying the PDO2/3 to 9, 12, 15 and 20V and 0.5/1A + POWER_ONLY_ABOVE_5V

Using theses different configurations, PDO2/3 are never reached and the Vbus is still 5V.

Another question I have is: can the STM32G071B-DISCO be used with STM32CubeMonitor-UCPD when both USB-C connectors are used (spy mode)? The kit is not recognized by windows when in spy mode, CubeMonitor don't see any board. Cubemonitor only works when only the white cable is connected and the mechanical door is closed.

Regards,

Thanks
