Hello
I measured the output power with several S2-LP development kits with the S2-LP DK – Application v1.2.1. If I set the HPM maximum output power of +14dBm, I can measure the following output power:
KIT1 (STEVAL-FKI433V2): 12.9dBm
KIT2 (STEVAL-FKI433V2): 12.7dBm
KIT3 (STEVAL-FKI868V2): 14.2dBm
KIT4 (STEVAL-FKI868V2): 14.1dBm
The 433MHz versions are a bit weaker, but the output power is ok.
If a output power of +10dBm is set, I measure the following output power:
KIT1 (STEVAL-FKI433V2): 5.3dBm
KIT2 (STEVAL-FKI433V2): 5.9dBm
KIT3 (STEVAL-FKI868V2): 7.4dBm
KIT4 (STEVAL-FKI868V2): 7.6dBm
The output power is 3 to 5dB too weak. Why? Are the register values calculated incorrectly?
From the datasheet:
The application uses a 0.5dB output power step for the complete range. Is this wrong?
Below the table is a note to the PA_CONFIG0 (0x64) register. Which values should be used for PA_DEGEN_TRIM for different output powers?
Kind regards,
Martin
