Per the STUSB4500 datasheet it provides basic ESD protection:
ESD: 3 kV HBM - 1.5 kV CDM
I was wondering if it's still useful to combine the STUSB4500 with a TCPP01-M12
System-level ESD protection for USB type-C connector pins (CC1, CC2), compliant with IEC 61000-4-2 level 4 (±8 kV contact discharge, ±15 kV air discharge)
I can't find any data for this in either datasheet. Does this make sense in practice, having both ICs on your board?
