One can put multple VL53 (of any variety) on a single I2C bus.

However as the VL53L5 can return up to 4 targets for each of 64 zones per range, the I2C traffic can get kind of large.

One woud need to use the 1Mbit setting on the I2C and keep the wire length and capacitance well tuned.

As to the datasheet. That'a a harder question.

The part is out and selling well into the cellphone and PC markets.

But before we release it to everyone we still have some work to do.

Our current customers are helping us refine the process so it will be easy for everyone to implement.

You don't need the startup hassles, and there is no way I could support too many customers this way.

The full part should be out by June.

And by then it should be quite simple to integrate.

Dear John,

I just want to know what is the plan for this VL53L5, will ST also provide some drivers for STM32, or just for Linux?

And also the timeline is still June 2021?
